In addition to my traditional architectural artworks, I also spend a great deal of time exploring mark making to produce a range of abstract, mixed media pieces.

My abstract works allow me to escape the constraints of structure and planning, and instead allow the processes and materials to shape the final result. I use a wide range of materials and techniques, always striving to incorporate recycled and sustainable materials wherever possible. The beauty of this aspect of my practice is that it’s hard to pin down exactly what I produce – and that’s the whole point. By embracing spontaneity, I’m able to push my boundaries in terms of colour use and composition.
